In this equipment introduction video Trevor and Nathan will be going through all of the equipment you need to get started in whitewater rafting. This video is designed to be a basic introduction to whitewater rafting gear and therefore we are specifically not selecting any particular manufacturer’s piece of river gear to feature. We want you to have a solid base of the types of rafting equipment you should be looking for entry level rafters who are looking to get started. The top 3 most important pieces of river gear for new boaters we always recommend are:

1. Type 3 USCG approved PFD (Personal Floatation Device)

2. Proper River Shoes

3. Entry Level Helmet

Always remember, the equipment you select doesn’t need to be crazy expensive and the top of the line, there is plenty of low cost gear on the market to help you get on the water without breaking the bank.
